Been slacking big time....

Haven't been counting points and hardly exercising. My weight has crept back up to 202. Why is it that we work so hard to take off a few lbs and they can come back on so easily??? I hate it! I think I kinda lost my diet/exercise mojo if ya wanna call it that.
But time is a ticking...Jake will be home in less that 3 months now and I would like to lose at least the 20 lbs I gained since he has been deployed. So I have a new plan. I am still gonna try to do WW but also start the Flat Belly Diet. It has a 4 day jumpstart program so when I am on that I will not count points. But after day 4, back to counting points. Basically the diet revoles around 5 MUFAS (olives, good oils, avocados, seeds/nuts, semi-sweet/dark chocolate) and saying that you need to eat one MUFA with each meal and snack. I have ordered the book so I will find out more when it gets here. I orginally heard about this diet on the Rachael Ray show and after browsing the website and seeing other peoples' sucesses I thought I would try it.
I am starting my 4 day jumpstart on Monday so I will update you all on Friday...well if anyone even reads my blog...lol.

I suck at losing weight.

Well tomorrow is weigh in day but as of now it looks like I will be 200 lbs...which means 4 lbs lost total since I started my wl journey this year! SUCKY!!!! My first goal is to be 199 and I haven't even reached that yet.
Why I am I failing...I have been thinking about things I can do better/change to help me speed up the weight loss, here is the list:
1. not eat out so much
2. stop splurging...seems like each week I go to something (b-day party, playgroup, girls night) where there is yummy food
3. exercise more (right now I am averaging 3-4 times a week)
4. drink more water (I drink 1 or 2 glasses a day if that) less soda (drink about 3 diet sodas a day)
5. Stop night time eating (this is when I tend to pig out)
6. Try eating 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones plus snacks

Weight loss is like a roller coaster..

Well I was being successful. I have been trying to do WW on my own and since like the 2nd week in January, I had lost 4 pounds. I was soooooooooo close to being back in the 100's again and then I splurged. Outback for supper! Birthday party that had cheeseburgers, french fries, and supper yummy cake. A delicious but fattening chciken recipe to die for! So now I am back up...about 2 lbs! So here's to hoping this roller coaster takes me down again....no more being wild and splurging for me! Weigh in day is Wednesday so we will see if somehow I can get back into the 100's before then.
